Together, our businesses have been selected as finalists in two categories for the digital transformation at Western Earthmoving over the past two years.

The ITNews Benchmark Awards showcases the innovative and value-adding work of technology and project teams across all businesses. Here at Carnac Group, we are proud of our work with valued customer Western Earthmoving on their digital transformation. This project has been shortlisted for two categories: Best Industrial and Primary Production and the Best Internet of Things.

Western Earthmoving first engaged Carnac Group when they wanted to explore how technology could future-proof their business. After all, technology had already disrupted most other sectors. It would only be a matter of time before technology would transform construction as well.

Carnac and WEM’s IT team worked together to develop innovative solutions using Salesforce to respond to the contractor’s identified needs. Over the following two years, WEM transformed from being a traditional, and largely manual contractor to embracing process automation across most of its operations. From head office, to out onsite and even in its plant workshops, all WEM employees and subcontractors now use technology to tackle areas as diverse as WHS, site inductions, plant equipment maintenance and more.

At Carnac Group we are proud to see the extent of WEM’s transformation in such a short space of time. To be recognised for our part in their journey is pure icing on the cake. We are delighted to be nominated alongside WEM in these two categories at the 2020 Benchmark Awards.

The ITNews Benchmark Awards 2020 will take place on 5 March, at KPMG’s Sydney office.
